Son, Brother, Father Friend, Nephew, Uncle, Lover, Clown Johnny Fredrick Hahl, Know by many as Shaky John Big John Big bad John Uncle Johnny and Johnny Eagle Johnny Eagle Mountain Man Free Sprit   Johnny began his life a as Special Child, he had cerebral palsy and had difficulty Walking. He endured many surgeries; the doctors told Mom he would not be able to do many things. I guess the doctor failed to tell Johnny that, because Johnny overcame a lot of obstacles. Everyone that knew Johnny knew he walked different then the rest of us and when he ate he used one hand to help stabilized the other hand. He went to school; graduated from Tech High School he built nightstands for Mom & Dad, a desk and a coffee table. These items are excellent works of craftsmanship especially for a young man who had a hard time with his shaking. Johnny was able to drive a car. Took a full time job with the City of Omaha at Hansom’s Park Greenhouse Which he retired from. He was a lifeguard.   Johnny loved to fish, hunt and go camping. Watch all-star wrestling, car races, plays cards, pool, and bingo and liked the one-arm bandits. He used to smoke a pipe. He liked his beer. He could eat a lot of food and not gain weight. He could build things. He could make things grow. He could fix things.   Johnny was very smart, yet he could not read much pass the third grade level.   Johnny loved his family! Loved his friends! His feelings ran deep. His life-time friend Phil and Mariyon Johnny fell in love with Jan Kerkhove and they were married. Jan had some health issues during the time they were married. But the Lord blessed both of them with beautiful miracle child who we all know and love their son- Erik. Johnny and Jan later divorced.   Family was Johnny’s life and Erik! Johnny’s family meant the world to him. When Johnny retired he went with Mother to the senior citizen center. He got involved with becoming a Clown Johnny Eagle. Thanks to his friends Slim and Mary and Kim Dankiw who made him his Clown Johnny Eagle Vest. He wore his Clown outfit proudly and bought many smiles to people young and old.   When Mother passed away March 3rd seven years ago Johnny became very close to a friend of family Cathy Milegar. Johnny loved Cathy there is not anything in the world he would have not done for her.   Johnny thought the world of his family, especially after the divorced, we all pulled together and helped him spiritually, morally, physically, financially. Johnny had a very Special bond with his brother in-law Kent Larsen.   When Johnny was able to get a place of his own, Kent stepped up to the plate and assisted Johnny with managing his finances. Johnny loved spending time with Kent, Trips to Sams and dinners together- For a while we wondered who had the bigger beer belly?   The rest of us all took turns taking Johnny to run errands. Johnny did not care if he won at cards, won playing bingo, even if he footed the bill for outing with family and friends. He was a real people person. He loved to spend time with All of us!   Johnny met his sister Janis just recently. Mother had Janis between being married to Johnny’s Dad and my father. Mother gave Janis up for adoption as times were rough and Mother wanted Janis to have a better future. The Lord has blessed our family and brought us together. Johnny was so pleased to spend time with Janis. He was hoping very much to make a trip to her home for a visit.   If you were sick he was there! If someone passed away he was there! If you needed help to build something he was there! If you need an ear he was there! You could depend on Johnny!   It is sad how as we all get older and our bodies begin to fail us and we have the need to Just not be alone, that time is precious. That we all fail to not take the time to say What can I do for you, or take the time to see you, or not believe that he was really that ill.   Johnny would call on the phone He would say Hello this is Johnny- funny he did not need to say that because we knew by his voice yep that’s Johnny. Then he would say call me! Never a message what he needed, Just call me.   February 20 the Lord called Johnny and he answered,   We his family, and friends will remember all the good times the laughs, the tears, the fish hook in his finger, the rubber left going around then corner of 27th and Howard when he would leave the house upset. The drive in movies the fishing trips, the family vacations together.   Johnny’s life was not easy; he lived pain from cerebral palsy and other medical conditions that affected him, as he got older. Johnny gave us strength to keep going. I respected my brother, I was proud of him. There was nothing to great that I would not take the time to do with him and for him.   He ainýt Heavy He’s my Brother!   Erik Your Dad was a great brother, friend, and nephew, Uncle, filled with love. He will be embedded in your heart and memories forever. Johnny is in Heaven with Mom and Dad. Today he is running, jumping and doing cartwheels. Linda said he is reading books. His handicap made him stronger! It made all of us stronger.   PS: Thank you Mom and Dad for making us all special in our own ways! He is with the Angels Now he is Johnny Angel It was said at the service when Johnny got to Heaven’s gate He was announced as “Johnny Mountain Man Eagle Free Spirit “ has landed!
